As the human world becomes more artificial we find ourselves more removed from our environment than ever. What are the consequences of living in a world of artificial chemicals? What are the implications of the way we grow our food?  How is the medical field intimately related to biodiversity? What is in the air we breath?  Are children being hit hardest by our altered environment? Join us this Spring Quarter to discuss how human society and health, are intimately intertwined with ecosystems and the environment.

The goal of this quarterly “brown bag” seminar is to discuss some of the environmental issues facing the northwest and the world today, through an analysis of current articles and readings. The seminar may include volunteer work, a field trip, and/or guest lectures.
