April 25th Update - Earth Week Photo Contest entries and "Tip of the Day" emails are now posted
- See the 40 entries submitted to the First Earth Week Environmental Photo Contest, posted on Flickr. Please post any comments you have about the images. We will look over the comments that have been posted and use them to help select the winning photo in about a week.
- Gwyn Jones' daily "Earth Week Tip of the Day" are also now available on our site (links included).
April 24th Update - Thanks to everyone you participated in Earth Week 2009
On behalf of the Student Science Association, thanks for participating in the tenth annual Earth Week celebration! Over 1300 students participated in the lecture and film series alone! Many more participated in the car show, fashion show, wind farm field trip, clothing swap, cafeteria displays, ELFCC events and photo contest!
April 20th Update - Earth Week is here - come celebrate with us!
The planning is done - now it is time to enjoy the show!
Don't forget you can still bring in clothing for the Clothing Swap and submit photos to the Earth Week Environmental Photo Contest.
Schedule Changes:
- Nena Baker is moved to room N201 at 11:30 on Tuesday
- Tuesday's 1:30 speaker has been replaced by BCC's astronomy instructor, Art Goss, who will also talk about nuclear energy.
April 11th Update

In addtion, Lisa Dupar, Owner and Chief Creative Officer of Lisa Dupar Catering and Pomegranate Bistro in Redmond, has been added to the lecture schedule at 11:30 on Friday, April 24. Lisa will be speaking on sustainability in the food industry.
April 10th Update - Earth Week Schdule now finalized
The schedule of events is now up and more or less final - there may be a few additions in the coming days. In addition, we have choosen the film schdule and posted some information about the fashion show and clothing swap and displays. The site is updated everyday, so please check back often.
April 2nd Update - Earth Week 2009 Info now available
The draft schedule of events is now up - most things are pretty firm, although we are still working out the titles of talks and the exact schedule on Friday. More details will be posted over the next week.
Also - we are still choosing the films we will be showing during the week. Please take a look at our Earth Week film list, and let us know by April 9 if there is something you or your classes would like to see.
