"Meet Your Farmer"at BC's Second Annual Farmer's Market- Tuesday (9:00-2:00))

SSA has invited several farmers to participate in our first BC farmer's market on Tuesday April 19. The goal of this market is to help connect our community to the local food economy.

• Misty Mountain Honey, Carnation
• Smith Brothers Dairy, Kent
• Check back soon - we are still waiting for confirmation from a couple more farms.

Market purchases include a reusable BC Earth Week bag (while supplies last).

Earth Week Taste of BC Community Potluck - Friday, 12:30 (Co-sponsored by the Employee Pluralism Committee)

On Friday, April 22, SSA and the Employee Pluralism Committee invite you to help us wrap up Earth Week with a potluck lunch. In the spirit of the week , we'd like to encourage you to bring meals that are healthy, organic, vegetarian, vegan and/or are made with ingredients from a 100-mile radius of Bellevue. Not only will all of the participants be able to share in the wealth of a great meal, but participants who bring food will receive a fancy new Earth Week travel mug.

If you plan to join us please visit the signup web site to let us know what you plan to bring (and see what others have already signed up for). This will help us plan how many people/dishes to expect.

Anyone from the BC community (and their guests) are welcome to join the lunch. We hope you can make it.
