Photo Contest Entries now posted (4/22/2011)
Entries to the 2011 Earth Week Photo Contest are now posted on Flickr. Take a look and leave some comments to help us judge the winning photo. We'll announce a winner by May 1.
Earth Week is in full swing! (4/19/2011)
Lots of great lectures so far, and still a lot to come over the next few days. A few reminders(and two new additions):
- Meet this Friday from 9:00-noon on the west side of the BC Greenhouse for a work party to help build raised beds for the new student vegetable garden.
- There are two ways to get your hands on the new Earth week mug/tumbler - (1) make a donation to the Japanese Relief fund (in the cafeteria) or (2) bring a dish to the potluck on Friday.
- There are still three days to enter the Earth Week Photo Contest - a $50 prize is up for grabs! (due midnight Friday)
- Check out the latest developments of the paper art instillation in the lobby of the C-Building (or follow the latest paper art additions on paper blog - updated daily all week).
The Farmer's Market and Potluck are back(4/14/2011)
For the second year in a row, Earth Week will be hosting a Farmer's Market in the central courtyard to help folks link to their local farmer. Join us from about 9 to 2 pm on Tuesday, April 19. Then on Friday ,cook up some of your recent veggie acquisitions and bring them to the Earth Week Potluck (co-sponsored by the Employee Pluralism Committee). Use our sign-up web site to let us know what you plan to bring.
Participate in the Recycled Paper Art (4/14/2011)
The Art Department is sponsoring a participatory Recycled Paper Art Installation. Visit their blog for details and to see the daily evolution of the sculpture/wall. Any come by the C-Building any time during the week to participate!
Schedule Changes and Updates (4/13/2011)
The Clothing Swap is scheduled for Friday, April 22 in C105 (details posted soon).
Jerry Kroon's Friday (April 22) talk has been moved to 9:30 (from 10:30) on the same day.
Hal Calbom had to cancel his Tues (April 19) 10:30 talk.

Second annual photo contest announced (4/6/2011)
It was so much fun the first time, the Earth Week team is announcing the second Earth Week photo contest. Check out the contest page for details - Grade prize is a $50 gift certificate to Amazon.com.:

Lecture Schedule now available (3/18/2011)
We are still working out some details, but the preliminary Earth Week lecture series schedule and film summaries are now available. We'll soon be adding biographies, resources, and other events - stay tuned!
