Some Exam III Feedback
- You were spectacular on question 14! Each one of you scrutinized the pedigree and did the correct analysis! Most of you who did question 13 were absolutely there, too, as well as on question 4!
- Unfortunately, a few of you still haven't accurately explained why oxygen is required by plants. (Hint: It's something to do with cell respiration.) We may need to ask that question again.
- However, many of you still have much work to do, particularly on the nuances of inheritance patterns. To facilitate your learning, I have prepared and posted a do at home quiz. See below.
- Some of you are still not doing explanations or discussions that are specifically requested in the answer. You are providing general answers that have some relationship to the question but are not adequate. You need to relate your answer to exactly what is being asked of you to explain or discuss.
- Some, too, confused the function of microtubules in aligning and moving chromosomes (and also in determining the plane of cell division in plants and the pattern of cell wall expansion plants) with the function of microfilaments in cytokinesis.
- Exams will be returned in class on Thursday. Questions you have about your exam papers can be discussed next week.
- Please see the Exams and Quizzes page for the following do at home quiz: Inheritance Quiz
