How to Request Attendance Verification from Me for Financial Aid

(This information is also posted to the MAIN Discussion Board in our Vista course site.)

If you are a registered student in my online oceanography course and need Financial Aid verification, I will be happy to verify your participation, once you have submitted at least one course assignment.

This is how to request verification from me:

1) Request it by emailing me at gwjones@bcc.ctc.edu (NOT via Vista-Mail).

2) Tell me which course assignment(s) you have submitted (be specific).

3) Be sure that the SUBJECT LINE of your email to me is clear and specific. Include your full name and our course name, plus what you're requesting (such as: "Financial Aid verification request for Julie Becker, Online Ocean 101").

4) In the MESSAGE itself, request that I reply to financialaid@bcc.ctc.edu and that I cc: you in my reply.

5) Also in the MESSAGE itself, be sure to include all of the following information:

* Your full name
* Your BCC student ID number
* Our class name (Online Ocean 101)
* Our class item number

6) I recommend that you print out my reply and keep it for your records. If you are going in person to the Financial Aid office and/or Cashier, bring the printout with you.

I know that it's a lot of work, but following this procedure maximizes the chance that just one email from you and one reply from me will get your financial aid check processed promptly.
