This
page is primarily designed for my students at Bellevue Community College,
should they need to reach me. For summer quarter, 2011, I am teaching Organic Chemistry
262 as well as Chemistry 121. My office hours are from 12:30 until 1:30 daily.
If you're one of my students and need to ask a question, please ask away. Remember to include a
return address.
If you would like help with basic
chemical concepts, consult my Troubleshooting Web Page
and perhaps that can help.

Professional
Stuff:
B.S. degree in chemistry from Rhodes College
M.S. degree in organic chemistry from
the University of Washington
I’m now a tenured professor at Bellevue College.
Other interests:
A penchant for real beer
A true anglophile
A tennis fan.
Perhaps greater than any of these is my love of travel. I’ve currently been to 75 countries.
I am also something of a collector. Specifically, I collect beer boxes (you know, the carboard "suitcase" that neatly holds a six pack of beer when you purchase it in a store). It’s now a world record! A comprehensive list of all the different beer boxes currently in my possession is available for anyone interested. If you find a box I don't have, please let me know.
Furthermore, I have a hobby (along with an accomplice named Frances Evans) of visiting breweries around the country (to some extent, around the world). A list of visited breweries is available here.

After reviewing the web page, my mother (bless her heart) complained it was
too boring and came up with her own suggestion.
